- In 1974, he graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa.
- He specialises in Urology and General Surgery.
Professional Training
- From 1979 to 1984 as a research fellow, he carried out regular surgical and research work at the Fundaciòn Puigvert in Barcelona, Spain.
- From 1980 to 1984 he was a Researcher at the Surgical Clinic of the University of Pisa.
- From 1984 to 2000 he was a Researcher at the Institute of Urology at the University of Padua.
- He was a researcher at the University of Padua and teacher of Paediatric Urology at the School of Specialisation in Urology.
- Since 2000, he has been eligible as an Associate Professor in Urology.
- From 2000 to 2005, he was Chief of the Urology O.U. at the ‘Cannizzaro’ Hospital in Catania.
- From 2011 to 2014, he was Director of the Surgical Department and Urology Unit at the Cannizzaro Hospital in Catania.
