An angioma is a benign skin formation consisting of aggregates of blood vessels. It may appear as red, purplish or pinkish spots on the skin, or as slightly raised bumps. Angiomas can be present from birth or develop throughout life and usually do not require treatment unless they cause symptoms or discomfort.
