Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition in which the median nerve, which passes through the wrist, is compressed. This causes symptoms such as numbness, tingling, weakness and pain in the hand and fingers. It can be caused by repetitive activities, pregnancy, systemic diseases or genetic factors.
