Liver cirrhosis

Liver cirrhosis is an advanced and irreversible condition in which normal liver tissue is replaced by fibrous scar tissue, impairing liver function. It can be caused by several conditions, such as chronic alcohol abuse, chronic hepatitis or fatty liver disease. Symptoms include fatigue, jaundice, abdominal bloating and bleeding.
