Lower limb ulcers
Lower extremity ulcers are open lesions or sores that develop on the skin of the legs or feet. They are often caused by circulatory problems, such as venous or arterial insufficiency, or uncontrolled diabetes. These ulcers can be painful, with discharge and can increase the risk of infection. Ongoing management and monitoring by a trained health professional is important.
