The Lipidology Center for the diagnosis and treatment of genetic and acquired hypercholesterolemias and dyslipidemias at San Rossore Nursing Home frames and treats all forms of dyslipidemias and rare dyslipidemias, i.e., alterations in the amount of lipids in the blood.

Dyslipidemia results in various cardiovascular diseases such as multimetabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, and obesity.
The Center’s framing focuses on the patient and, along with testing and screening, includes analysis of all members of the patient’s family in order to identify any genetic correlations. The Diagnostic Therapeutic Care Pathway includes staging of cardiovascular complications and related follow-up, in collaboration and synergy with the specific and multidisciplinary expertise present in the San Rossore Treatment Center.
