Academic Education
- In 1983 he graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florence.
- In 1988 he specialised in General Surgery at the University of Florence.
- In 1992 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Surgery from SNOC (National Hospital Surgery School) ACOI.
- In 1995 he obtained a 2nd Level Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Pisa.
- In 1995 he specialised in Microsurgery and Experimental Surgery at the University of Milan.
- In 2002, he specialised in vascular surgery at the University of Florence.
- In 2021, he obtained the BLSD-D (Retraining in Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Early Defibrillation).
Professional Training
- From 1988 to 2020 he held a tenured position first as General Surgeon.
- Since 2002 he has held the position of Vascular Surgeon.

- He has been a member of the Scientific Societies SIF, ACOI and SICVE since 2005.
- He has been a member of the S.I.F. Italian Society of Phlebology since 2020.
Both as a speaker and participant, he has actively participated in over 450 conferences, courses and congresses.
Publications
He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications.
