Breast carcinoma is a type of cancer that originates from the cells of the mammary gland. It is the most common cancer among women. It manifests as lumps in the breast, changes in breast shape or size, redness or abnormal discharge from the nipple. Early detection is critical and involves tests such as mammography and biopsy.
