Capillaries – Taleangectasias

The overwhelming majority of the female sex is affected by this type of blemish, consisting of dilation of small venules on the skin (usually intradermal). It is difficult for capillaries to give discomfort unless their extent is such that they result in heat, heaviness, and wheezing. For cosmetic reasons (or to sometimes prevent their rupture) capillaries can be treated.

The two most commonly used treatments are Laser and Sclerotherapy.

The choice between one technique and another depends on many variables including color, skin phototype, the presence or absence of allergies, their conformations, and so on. Only after specialized evaluation and a venous echocolordoppler examination of the lower extremities can they be treated.

With either method, a variable number of sessions is required depending on the sensitivity and response of the individual patient.
