Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are swollen veins located in the anal and rectal region. They can be internal (inside the rectum) or external (under the skin around the anus). They are often caused by straining during defecation, pregnancy, constipation or genetic predisposition. Symptoms include itching, bleeding during defecation and pain.
