Thyroid tumors

Thyroid tumors are neoplasms that can be benign or malignant. Papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most common type and tends to grow slowly. Other types include follicular carcinoma, medullary carcinoma, and anaplastic carcinoma, which are more aggressive. Symptoms may include lumps in the neck, changes in thyroid size, difficulty swallowing or the presence of enlarged lymph nodes. Early diagnosis is important for effective management.
